It will be a great pleasure for me to present a series of my drawings “In the Arctic” at the APECS International Online Conference 2022: All hands on deck! on May 18, 2022.

“In the Arctic” is a fineliner on paper serie of pictures created during my one-year stay in Spitsbergen, where I worked as a meteorologist. The opportunity to observe wild arctic nature so closely was unforgettable experience for me. Some of this drawings evoke real events that I witnessed, others show specific places that were part of my everyday life, you can also find among them pure symbolic representation of arctic ring of life. They are all the result of my fascination with the polar nature and constitute a kind of illustrated documentation of my year in the Arctic, much closer to me than the numerous photos that I also brought from that expedition.
